JESSICA'S STORY

Jessica Meredith Jacobsen died tragically on September 14th, 2007. Jessica was the daughter of Dr. John Meredith and Mrs. Gat Meredith, sister of Hillary Hennighausen, Emily Casey, and Joseph Meredith.  Jessica’s two children are Christopher and Mathew Jacobson, who are being raised by her sister and brother-in-law Hillary and Brian. The children attend Immaculate Conception School in Towson.

Jessica received a bachelor’s degree in accounting at Villanova University in Philadelphia in 1991.  She was a group manager in the marketing and investment services department with T. Rowe Price where she managed a staff of one hundred employees.  Jessica was an avid runner and she enjoyed watching her sons play soccer, basketball, and tennis. Jessica volunteered with her neighborhood association and with Immaculate Conception School.  As a member of her neighborhood gourmet club, she enjoyed preparing special meals and sharing them with family and friends.  She also enjoyed trips with her family to the beach at Ocean City and skiing at Wisp in Garrett County.  Jessica was also a musician and played the flute for several years with the Contemporary Music Groups at Immaculate Conception and at Villanova University.

In the words of Grand Knight Andrew Gleeson (K of C 4011) “Jessica was one of those rare people, who in a world that seems to move at a million miles an hour, had the ability to stop it and give you her direct and genuine attention. She had a thousand watt smile and touched so many with her joy and kindness.”

Jessica strongly supported Catholic education and the moral values being instilled in her children at Immaculate Conception School. This race will help keep her memory alive and will benefit the community activities which Jessica supported during her life.
