RACE REPORT FOR WEBSITE
On September 21, 2024, the 17th Annual Jessica Meredith Jacobsen Memorial 5K Race and Fun Walk took place in Towson. The Race started at Immaculate Conception School, wound its way through Towson streets, past Loyola Blakefield and ended at the Bykota Center. Over 500 runners, walkers, sponsors and donors participated, helping to raise over $34,000 for Charity. Some of the Charities benefitting from the Race include:
The Immaculate Conception School Tuition Assistance Fund
The House of Ruth
The Pregnancy Center North
The Center for Pregnancy Concerns
The Assistance Center for Towson Churches
The Franciscan Center
The United Churches Assistance Network
The Knights of Columbus Disaster Relief Funds
Our sincere thanks go to all the people who come together to make this Race a success every year. Dan Yardley and the Race Committee work year-round to plan and implement the Race. Many Knights and their families help to set up before the Race and clean up afterwards. Students from Immaculate Conception School serve as Course Marshals. Cub Scouts from Pack 750 man the water station at the midpoint. And Officers from the Baltimore County Police Department help with safety and traffic control.
We are especially grateful to the 2024 Sponsors:
T. Rowe Price
Mariner Finance
J.A. Healthcare
Notre Dame Preparatory School
Verdence Capital Advisors
Hollenshade’s Auto Service
We are looking forward to seeing everyone next year for the 18th annual Race on September 20, 2025.
